The short version: we do not collect, store, or transmit your creative work — ever. Your music, prompts, lyrics, and audio stay on your device. The only time the App connects to the internet is to process your subscription purchase, handled securely by Apple.
2. What BeatMind Does
BeatMind is an AI-powered music generation app. It allows you to create original music using:
- Text prompts describing the style, mood, or structure of the music you want.
- Lyrics you write or input into the App.
- Audio recordings or audio files you provide as reference or input.
- Other creative parameters such as tempo, genre, and instrumentation.
All AI music generation, audio processing, and creative operations happen entirely on your Mac. No content you create or input is ever sent to our servers or any external service.
3. On-Device AI Processing
All artificial intelligence features in BeatMind run entirely on your device ("on-device" or "local" processing). This means:
- Your prompts, lyrics, audio recordings, and generated music are never transmitted to any external server or cloud service.
- AI models are stored and run locally on your Mac. All computation happens on your hardware, not ours.
- No internet connection is required to use any music generation or AI feature.
- Your creative process and output remain completely private and under your control at all times.
4. Internet Connection & Subscriptions
BeatMind requires an internet connection only for one purpose: processing your subscription purchase through Apple’s In-App Purchase system.
When you subscribe:
- The transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the Mac App Store. BeatMind does not process, see, or store your payment information.
- Apple may collect purchase-related data (such as your Apple ID and transaction history) as part of this process. This is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
- We receive only a confirmation from Apple that a valid subscription exists — we do not receive your name, payment details, or any personal information.
Outside of subscription verification, BeatMind does not initiate any network requests. Your entire music creation workflow is offline.
5. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following:
- Your prompts, lyrics, or text inputs.
- Audio recordings or audio files you use within the App.
- Music or audio you generate with BeatMind.
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, etc.).
- Account credentials — no account or login is required to use BeatMind.
- Usage analytics, telemetry, or behavioral data.
- Device identifiers or fingerprints.
- Location data.
- Crash reports or diagnostic data sent to us.
Because we collect no data, there is nothing to sell, share, or disclose to third parties.
6. Your Works Belong to You — Ownership & License
Your works will forever belong to you.
Any music, audio, compositions, or creative content you generate using BeatMind is yours — completely and permanently. We make no claim of ownership over any content you create with the App.
Specifically:
- You retain full copyright and all intellectual property rights over all music you create with BeatMind.
- You are free to use, publish, distribute, sell, license, or otherwise exploit your generated music however you choose — commercially or non-commercially.
- BeatMind does not claim any license, rights, or royalties over your creations, now or in the future.
- Your lyrics, melodies, compositions, arrangements, and any derivative works are your intellectual property.
- You may register your works with copyright offices, music rights organizations, or licensing bodies as you see fit.
We believe creativity should be fully owned by the creator. When you make something with BeatMind, it belongs to you — not to us.
7. Local Preferences & Settings
The App may save your preferences and settings (such as app configurations, recent projects, or tool defaults) locally on your device using macOS standard storage mechanisms (e.g., UserDefaults or local file storage).
These preferences:
- Never leave your device.
- Are not transmitted to us or any third party.
- Can be cleared at any time by deleting the App or resetting its data via macOS System Settings.
8. Third-Party Services
BeatMind does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs. We do not use services such as Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, Crashlytics, or any equivalent tool.
The App is distributed through the Apple Mac App Store. Apple may collect certain data as part of the App Store experience (such as download statistics and subscription transactions). This is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
9. Children’s Privacy
Because BeatMind collects no personal data from anyone, it is safe for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can address it promptly.
10. Data Security
Since all data stays on your device, the security of your work is protected by macOS’s built-in security model, including app sandboxing, file system permissions, and encryption at rest (if enabled via FileVault). We recommend keeping your macOS and BeatMind updated for the best security.
11. Your Rights
Because we do not collect or store any personal data, there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct, or delete on your behalf. You are in complete control of your data at all times. You may delete all locally saved App data by uninstalling the App.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California, and have privacy-related questions, you are welcome to contact us — though we have no personal data on record for any user.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated effective date at the top of this document and will be available within the App and on our website. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
